Who we are
Dentakit is an online marketplace for dental supplies in Egypt. It connects dentists, clinics and dental students with suppliers and provides delivery with cash on delivery. This policy applies to the Dentakit mobile app and its related services.
Data we collect
- Account data: your phone number (used to sign in with a one-time code), your name, and an email address if you add one.
- Delivery addresses: the address text and the map location you set for deliveries. We request location access only to help you pin the address; you can always type it manually.
- Order data: products, quantities, prices and the status of each order, plus the kits and lists you save.
- Device data: device model, operating system, app language and a push-notification identifier, used to run the app and send order notifications.
- Photos: we access the camera or photo library only when you choose to upload an image (such as a profile photo) and with your permission.
How we use data
- To process, deliver and communicate about your orders.
- To show the suppliers and products available in your area.
- To improve the app and measure its use in aggregate.
- To meet legal requirements and prevent fraud.
Who we share data with
Only the minimum needed: the supplier fulfilling your order sees the items, delivery address and phone number to complete the delivery, and the delivery captain sees the address and phone number while delivering. We use technical service providers (hosting, notifications, maps) that act on our instructions. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and order data while your account is active and as accounting rules require. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Delete account); your personal data is then deleted or anonymised, except what we must keep by law.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on servers with restricted access. We do not store payment card data; payment is made on delivery.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data inside the app, and request a copy or deletion by contacting us. The app is intended for dental professionals and students and is not directed at children under 13.
